If you haven’t watched Demon Slayer (Kimetsu no Yaiba) Season 1 yet, you are missing out on one of the most beautiful and inspirational stories in anime history. It’s not just about the fights; it’s about a teenager, Kamado Tanjiro, who is very warm-hearted, understanding, and motivational, being forced into a world of absolute nightmares.
In this season, we see Tanjiro’s breaking point after his whole family’s death, except his younger sister, Nezuko. But she is now a demon. From this point, he steps into a hard and cruel world where he must kill the main and strongest demon, Kibutsuji Muzan (a funny fact is that Kibutsuji Muzan resembles the “King of Pop,” Michael Jackson), who killed his whole family.
But even the strongest Demon Slayers (Hashira) could not go near Kibutsuji Muzan, whereas Kamado Tanjiro is just a teenager who spent most of his years taking care of his family after his father’s death and making charcoal to earn money. This anime shows the growth of characters mentally and physically.
But he has unique traits. He has a unique nose, with which he can smell even the slightest scent, helping him navigate situations and find people. He also has a mark on his head which, for some, can look hideous, but nobody knows what it’s for. And a deep hatred in his heart for Muzan. But he is still too weak.

They are then attacked by two demons sent by Muzan to kill Tanjiro for having the mark and wearing unique earrings. However, they win. Tamayo suggests that Nezuko stay with her for safety, but Nezuko chooses to stay with her brother, showing their strong bond. Tamayo also shares her story, proving that even demons can retain human emotions.
Tanjiro has a talking crow (which is actually very savage and hardworking) that guides him on missions. On the way, he meets Zenitsu Agatsuma, whose breathing style is Thunder. Then they meet Inosuke Hashibira in a mansion. He is wild, extremely strong, and talented. He taught himself Beast Breathing and was raised by boars.
