The movie has a positive ending because Miranda works with Andy to save Runway as well as her job. At her age, she desperately needs Andy’s help, even though she does not like her. Miranda, Emily, Andy, and Nigel come together as a team to work together on the Save Runway Project, although Emily has alternative motives. Andy’s young personal assistant also helps by recording a meeting on her iPhone to warn Andy.

To save Runway from being bought from her competition, Emily and Benji, Miranda and Andy make sure that Sasha Barnes buys the Elias-Clark parent company. Jay Ravitz wants to buyout Runway for investment purposes because it is all about the money. The ending of the movie displays everyone working busily inside their lighted office during the evening hours.
After Emily’s boyfriend leaves her because she was not able to takeover Miranda’s position, she becomes friends with Andy. Nigel was always friends with Andy, since the first Devil Wears Prada movie. He later tells Andy that he told Irv Ravitz to hire her as Feature Editor.
Corporate Culture Changes
The corporate culture in the movie has changed, which in someway has changed the employees inside Runway to work together in order to succeed. The corporate culture has always been about networking as well as friends helping friends. Although some of the employees might have their own motives, they still want to work. It is still about professionalism, tolerance, and teamwork. There is also a fear of AI taking over their jobs.
Runway Magazine’s main issue was trying to remain relevant in a digital-obsessed, algorithm-driven, and influencer-infested internet community, each competing to be financially independent business professionals. I think that the movie highlights the changes of time, affecting many businesses into bankruptcy, buyouts, and takeovers. Businesses need to modernize, or at least change in some way, in order to remain alive in a community, while still treating their employees in a professional manner.
Emily Charlton’s job, Senior Executive at Dior, had given her power, a power to help Runway Magazine. Andy is hired as Feature Editor at Runway to help improve Runway’s business. An internet scandal revealed that Runway had endorsed a designer brand that creates its items in a sweatshop.
Moreover, the fashions in the movie further brings out each character’s role via symbolism. Miranda Priestly wears her signature red because she symbolizes the relentless and greedy devil. They also made sure Miranda’s hair is very white, which reminded me of Karl Lagerfeld’s hair.

Andy wears reporter-style outfits, which include a secondhand messenger bag, feminine vintage menswear, and designer vintage jacket that has a boyfriend-jacket feel. Although designer names, like Armani, Margiela, and Chanel were often promoted, Andy often buys secondhand versions because she is practical, similar to her personal assistant and new young interns at Runway. Women’s ties were added to this feminine vintage menswear outfits.
By the end of the movie, Emily starts working at Coach. She dresses more edgier at Coach, which includes a fashionable tie.
